Intro to Agility

This is the first class in the Agility series

Venture into the addicting dog sport of Agility, a giant obstacle course for you and your dog! In this first session we'll teach you the basics of the sport, including the different pieces of equipment. You'll also start running a small course, learn footwork and focus, and more

Agility is a more active sport but can be modified to fit most dogs. However, we don't allow blind dogs, as it's a safety concern and can be very disorientating for them. We also don't recommend this class for dogs with any mobility issues, or senior dogs, as the jumping and activity is not the best for their joints/body.

Puppies are welcome to enroll but we will do a modified course and minimal jumping until they are 1 year of age and done growing. Repetitive jumping before this time can be damaging for the joints.

Some basic obedience is recommended but not required. Dogs must be able to focus on owner and remain calmly on leash between activities.

Severely aggressive (dog or human) or dogs that have killed another dog are not allowed, for the safety of the other dogs in class. If this is your dog, Nose Work is the better option as it's set up to allow all types of dogs to play.

Classes are $150 for 6 weeks and run for 1 hour, located in Edna Valley in San Luis Obispo.
